Some people make every excuse not to visit the dentist and as a result, their teeth and dental hygiene suffer. Therefore if you might be in any way nervous, be assured that Paddy has encountered many nervous patients before. Paddy is hugely patient and understands your concerns and he’ll be happy to discuss all aspects of your treatment beforehand. Many of our patients who arrived petrified in the past, now swear by us and won’t see anyone else! It’s a matter of building trust. Paddy’s first approach to nervous patients is a thorough a relaxed unhurried consultation and x-rays if necessary to assess and talk through all your treatment needs. We might then agree together to try a small or simple procedure on the next visit to see how you cope. Valium tablets help to reduce anxiety hugely - however due to the inconvenience of having to be minded and not being able to drive or return to work, patients mostly only use medication on one or two visits. If patients are still anxious after our best efforts we can refer them to a colleague for deeper intravenous sedation.
The dental practice is open five days a week. Making an appointment is simple and can be done in two clicks. Send us your request and a member of the team will get back in touch to confirm a time and date.
